My couch

Ive had issues with the couch since day one. Its a reclining couch and they are all hard to open and close. You have to slam them down in order to close them and thats just going to break it eventually. Also I paid extra for the stain guard for the couch and the couch got a stain on it and it will not come out. It actually just spread all over the cushion and I used the wipes you guys sent. Im actually to the point where Im ready to just get a new couch elsewhere. I spent a lot of money on the couch and for it to have this many issues is just ridiculous!

Not satisfied with customer service

I purchased a dining set on October 15, 2019 and it was delivered to my home sometime in November. I live alone and the chairs have been sat on maybe 15 times since I have had them in my home.

Yesterday (March 8, 2020) one of the rungs on a chair cracked in half after I just rested my foot on it. The furniture is not even 6 months old and not paid off yet, but VCF said they will fix the it and not replace the entire chair, which is what I wanted --- a new chair! Plus they said since I picked up the furniture, which I did not, that I needed to bring it back to their Robinson Township location. I explained to the woman on the phone as soon as it happened, what had happened and that I wanted a new chair, not a "fixed" chair.

She said it's not their policy to replace it if it could be fixed. Where are the days that the customer is right! I should be able to get a totally new chair at this point.

Also, when inquiring as to when and how I will get this chair back, they told me I would have to pick it up even though it was a delivery order originally, and if I wanted them to deliver it, then it would not be for 2-3 weeks. As you might have guessed by now, I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I purchased 2-bedroom sets and a kitchen set on 9/10/19. One of the bedroom sets was delivered damaged (side rail cracked) When I called in about the damaged product, I was told to call back the next day. When I called back the next day, I was told to take a picture and email it in, and someone would give me a call the next day. The next day came and went and no one called. So, I called in again the next day and was told that for the scratch Value City would take 50 dollars of my overall $2753 order. I informed the lady I spoke with that it was not a scratch but a crack and over time it would only get worse. She then told me to call back on Wed when the service manager would be in. I called back and was told someone would come out to look at the damaged product. When Monday came, I had not yet received a call from Value City to confirm the time of the visit, so I called them. I was told the would be out on Wed between 114*-145. At 4pm on Wed, I called again because no one had come out to my house as I was told they would. The person I spoke to on the phone said, they were scheduled to come out on Monday, and that I didn’t answer the phone. Really, because I called on Monday to confirm and I was told Wed, additionally they were supposed to call me two days in advance and they did not. So, the person scheduled someone to come out on Saturday. A gentleman came out and took pictures of the damage and stated that only the rail needed to be replaced. He told me someone would call within 3 days. Another gentleman called from VC and told me someone would be out on Tuesday to fix the drawers I told him that the drawers were fine, it was the side rail that was damaged, he said they would also need to replace the drawers. Tuesday another gentleman came out to do the repair but did not have the correct parts as he though he needed to replace the drawers and not the rail, and I was told I would need to call back in because the part would need to be ordered. I called in yesterday, and was told I needed to call back today, I called back today and spoke with Andres and was told that the part would not be in until November. I asked to speak to a manager, he said he is the supervisor and person I needed to talk to. He gave me a hard time when I asked to speak to a manager stating that no matter who I speak to the part still has to be ordered, which may be true, my issue is the customer service the back and forth. I purchased a product in September, the product was delivered damaged, the person who assembled it knew it was damaged, the person who came to look at the damage knew it was the rail and wrote it down on the maintenance order that it was the rail, I told the person who called me to set up the appointment it was the rail, and some how the people who come to fixed the damaged product, didn’t know it was the rail, and now I ( the customer) has to wait two months from the time your company delivered and assembled damaged product before this issue can be rectified. Not to mention how many times I had to take off work to be available to allow your company to correct the mistake.

Canceled right before delivery and now it's been a month since my daughter has had a bed. We sold hers because we were supposed to be delivered the day after we got rid of her bed. And now over a month later I was on the phone waiting for over a hour and it hung up.
