Purchased 2 dressers in august of 2021 paid cash.
I purchased them both from clearance, one of the dressers had 3 bad drawer rollers. The sales guy Steve stated that if I wanted the dresser and I was paying cash that h could order the rollers and a big deal as long as the furniture was not discontinued..they ordered them and said it would take 4-6 weeks.
Called and called and called..said move time another 2 weeks another 2 eels etc.. called corporate twice..they said they would take care of it.that was 3 months ago.. and 1 year later since my purchase..still not able to open 3 out of the 5 drawers..POOR costumer services both store and corporatewill never buy any furniture related to value city furniture..
and I will keep directing family and friends away from your storesglad you got your money and I received furniture I cant use. Thieves.

I would never purchase anything from value city again. You get what you pay for, like on a value meal at McDonald's.
Value City Furniture delivery personnel was very rude to me, they put a big hole in my wall and scratches all on my wall and did not want to proceed with the delivery of my furniture on March 1, After I brought the hole to their attention tWhen I finally did get the furniture delivered for the second time around on March 9th at 9:46 at night, I got another bad carving damage on my wall and the furniture legs are damaged, and I'm missing two back cushions and a pillow. VCF has not done anything to try to compensate me for the inconvenience and me taking off work for the second time. I filed a claim for the first hole in the wall damage-and now I got more damage to my walls. I'm waiting to see what the outcome is for my claim for my walls.
Not only that, but I have a brand-new home and this is what I have been living with since March 1, 2022, from the first delivery and then the second delivery I got another damage to my wall on March 9. The furniture has a terrible smell like it has been sitting in the truck the whole time for 9 days waiting for re-delivery. This entire experience has been a disaster for me, and I have to live and look at my brand-new house with holes in the wall and have furniture that's damaged with a smell and not all the pieces for it, but VCF got my money and this is what I got. Basically, I just paid $1,250 dollars to have VCF to send someone to come and damage my house and bring me some damage furniture with missing pieces to it.
I will never purchase anything from VFC again. I am just done with them period!
Please beware of their delivery service. You get what you pay for like a VALUE MEAL at VCF!

I purchased a couch on 12/29/2020, it immediately started creaking but nothing too bad... fast forward to January 2022, a year and a few days after purchase, the frame on one half of my sectional gave out.
I entered a claim, they looked at it, said they could fix it ... 2 weeks later they say they can't but here is $100 for your couch andbyou get to keep your broke couch that you can't even sit on.... ONE HUNDRED FREAKING DOLLARS FOR A $700 BROKEN COUCH BARELY OVER A YEAR OLD!!!!! That is BEYOND insulting!!
So I appealed the "gesture" and said I will NOT accept $100 for a couch I paid $700+ for a year ago with a 5 year "pure promise" warranty!!!
They contacted me back not long after and said they understood my frustration and value city will contact me with further instructions on how to take care of the situation... cool. Nothing for a couple weeks, so I called the value city customer service and told them the situation and they transferred me to the purchase location in Lansing, MI. I spoke with a representative there that kept interrupting me whole i was trying to explain the situation saying "you have to call in a claim with the warranty company" which I had already done.
So I asked to speak with the manager about the situation instead, who said they would talk to the other managers to see what protocol is. I left my number to receive a call back.
Meanwhile, the frame on the other corner has since broken apart and is poking through the couch rendering it unusable. It has been 3 weeks with no call back from the manager at the Lansing, MI location still hasn't called me back. So last Friday I called again went through the whole process again, spoke with the manager, told them I had already been through this and am getting NO WHERE with this.
They promised me I would get a call first thing Monday morning (today)
Here we are, almost 4pm and still no call. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they have been busy, but I will be calling first thing tomorrow!!!
Also, before it is said i just abuse my couch... I am the only one who sits on it, maybe an hour a day, along with my 40lb dog.
The FRAME of couch should not break from an hour a day of sitting!!!
The furniture sold by Value City is cheap, their customer service is trash, and the warranty company they use is junk. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THEM!!!!!
This has also been taken to local social media, as well as a local news anchor, and if it doesn't get resolved tomorrow then I will also be taking this issue to the better business bureau and beyond if needed.
Preferred solution: Full price of couch to be applied to purchase of different couch with stupider structure or a FULL REFUND

Customer service
I'm writing this review Because I want other customers to know, if your furniture has No repair problems you will have no reason to write anything bad about VCF, but if you do, you will need a lot of Patience dealing with VCF customer service. I brought my Sectional Gray Sofa on 3/18/2022, which I loved, but the Middle piece was damaged, I'm still waiting on the replacement as of 8/ 24/2022 .
I've made several calls, Spoken with many representatives ( Cindy, Wendy, Sydney, and today Angela ).
I think I've given them enough time to rectify this situation, it took VCF less then a day to debit my account FYI. Today I was told the Sofa Middle piece will be in the warehouse by the end of August, my finger and my eyes are crossed lol.
