We ordered out furniture 1 week and 1 day ago. It was to be delivered today 3/26/08. We paid the 99 dollar delivery fee when we bought our 3 piece furniture set. There was nothing said about ANY delivery stipulation at all. Got a call in the am telling me the delivery driver could not deliver to out 4th floor apartment. The sales people told us nothing that it was policy they would not and could not do it for us, no exception. They could deliver it to the 3rd floor and leave it for me to move, me a 120 lb. femaile with a 10 month at home and husband at work today.

Mind you being we live on the 3rd floor not counting the "ground floor". We saw just 2 weeks ago the guys deliver to our new neighbors on our floor and they claim it was because she was pregnant (it is nice of them to do that, but her husband was home as well).

I had a 25 dollar tip for EACH of the delivery drivers and went out last night and got some cokes for them to enjoy after that hike!

The customer service lady said the delivery drivers are refussing to deliver to our floor the best they could do was deliver it to the floor below us and leave it there. They said if they do it for us they will have to do it for every one else.

The lady on the phone was very polite and calm to me, however, it was her that was going back and fowarth with me and the delicery drivers.

When they got here I called my husband to come home and help me get it up after asking the delivery guys AGAIN to please do one more flight. The drivers scratch the leather sofa and also the recliner.

Where has customer service gone? Now when I called Value City back they did give me 50% back on delivery fee as we did half of the delivery as well.

WOULD NOT RECCOMEND VALUE CITY TO ANY ONE!

I'am disgusted with value city furniture. This is my second time buying a couch from them & it had flaws in each i bought.

Then you get the round around they sent some service tech out which i swear was high on drugs & sucked at his job. I have been waiting since the last week in july for my replacement pillow for my leather choclate sectional.

value city furniture sucks & i will not be shopping there ever again. I also will let others know how this store treats it's customers in the future...

I agree with Niki. For paying $99 dollar delivery fee should include everything.

Regardless of what floor or how many flights of step these delivery people have to hike, they should do their job and stop complaining about doing the job. As for the inconsiderate Randy and Did you Ask??, She had a 10 month old baby and her husband wasn't available. Consider that!

You guys must work at Value City with your lame comments. The store needs to do the right thing and deliver the furniture to the 4th floor.

I have never heard of a furniture store not asking you what floor you live on in the first place. If your paying for delivery then they should provide full service as promised.

Did you ask if they would deliver to a 4th floor walkup, or just assume (or better yet not disclose the information so you wouldn't have to pay more and could complain about it later?) It's not a salesperson's job to ask you if you live on the 4th floor without an elevator. It's your job to bring up what may be any unusual circumstances. Stop being silly and take responsibilty for your own problem.

you are just like every other customer complaining about value city but still shopping there for your next purchase.you always hear the negative but you dont hear how value city takes care of most customers that are willing to have an open mind.get a life for crying out loud!if value city was that horrible,why do they profit every month and how are they able to open up more stores as other weak retailers go out of business.you weak and non educated consumers need to go back to your overpriced stores and purchase from the quote better furniture outlets so that you can cry a river to those smug prics that will never listen to your complaints.value city furniture rules!
