They not hearing the person they just wanna make a sale
They delivered me the wrong sofa and they have one on the floor that fits my apartment perfect but Ive been trying to talk to him for three days so I finally said that I want them to come and get the sofa and I will not do business with them anymore Because Im paying good money and they are not trying to accommodate the buyer. I wouldve took the one off the floor, but this is where Im at.
Deceptive practices
I bought a sofa had to exchange cause fabric started to peel. The manager suggested I buy the warranty in case it happened with the new sofas.
I filed a couple of claims and all were denied. Made many phone calls. I was told manager would call me back to offer a solution. After many calls he finally returned my call.
But it was counterproductive. He offered no resolution and told me that that issue was not covered.
I conveyed to him that I was told to purchase for the same reason. Its not right that I now have to purchase new sofas because they wont honor their warranty
User's recommendation: Do not buy from them they use very cheap material at high prices. Don’t believe anything you’re told. Ask for it in writing

We pre ordered some leather hartley sectional pieces from dylan 6/13/25. As part of the deal we struck with him was to have the other couch picked up that was just delivered by them as it clearly wasn't as advertised.
I had to call next next day and spoke with yvonne to arrange the pickup and finalize the new purchase, i spent over 3 hours making phone calls to her trying to make sure she was taking care of business for us. im the one who actually had to make the calls and take care of it because every time I'd call back, she acted confused and wasn't on it. Several days later, i called kyle, the assistant manager, and he had to call Springdale to set up the return because she didn't do it. On delivery day, the delivery teams show up and begin to physically roll our 3 boxes through the wet grass and down the driveway, and walkways end over end!
In shock, luckily, I had taken a video of this. Boxes were destroyed by the time they made it to our door. I'm pretty skinny myself as i have lymphoma but I had to help one of the guys bring in the last box a few more feet into our home as the other driver quit, gave up and walked off. We had some real damage to the frames.
In additionthe walls in the hallway were damaged by the delivery helper guy tossing the returned couch down the stairs. The head driver admitted his helper had a "bad attitude" and didn't want to help. I sent in the video and photos to Eastgate and Springdale stores to let them know what happened. The Eastgate manager lady reviewed the video evidence and called me back.
She wanted to set up a whole new delivery. I said lets hold off until I can inspect everything.
She said she would have a sit down meeting with her staff and discuss my particulars, the unacceptable tossing of 3 couch boxes down our driveway, the damage to our walls and bent frames with them and call me back the following day with a resolution and or compensation to satisfy us 100 percent. So far, we've never heard back from anyone at Eastgate.

GOOD LUCK ........THEY NOW HAVE YOUR MONEY , YOU ARE NOW DEFENCELESS........
Between our home in Ohio and our condo in Florida, we have spent $15,000.00 with them. Once you purchase an item from the sales department, you are on your own. Your problems going forward will be passed on to another department. Once you purchase an item, there is a good chance that it will not be in stock.
(Our order was delayed 6 months, and it is still not complete.) In order to get our sound system to work on our couch and loveseat, we had to purchase a new TV ($2,500.00) and a private vendor to sync the Bluetooth. So in closing, I would advise that you go elsewhere...
- Several of our friends had the same experience
- To many to mention
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM VCF !!!!!!!!!!

Verified Reviewer |Very poor experience
My husband and I visited this store on July 10, as well as today, July 11th, to purchase an item in the clearance section that was marked at a great price. However, when we returned to purchase the item, the Manager refused to allow us to purchase the item for what we had originally seen it listed as the night before.
This store gets a "0" rating because of the manager who was inconsiderate of us as customers. She ruined our day with a bait-and-switch tactic! After working with a very kind salesman for almost 2 days, the manager demonstrated a lack of customer service care towards us as customers. We spent hours in the store picking out items, but she refused to allow us to purchase the set for the price that was originally on the item.
We initially spoke with the salesman who spent time with us, confirming the price we saw on the item the night before. The manager decided that the pieces belonged to another piece, and someone else put that price on the set. We called the Corporate Office and ran into a dead end as well. The representative said she was taking my complaint, but I am not confident that it will be passed on.
She could not find anyone to handle my issue. This is what happens when you deal with less-than-standard companies.
We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with our treatment today at the American Signature Furniture store, especially the manager at 3755 Carmia Dr. SW, Suite 1000, Atlanta, GA 30331
- Low value
- Low standards
- And quality
User's recommendation: I would not recommend shopping at American Signature - if you have a negative experience don't expect any kind of resolution. BE very cautious as their policies are NOT Clear to customers.

I purchased a sectional from your Waldorf office. I contacted them to let them know that the sectional was coming apart.
This representative, Mia, was very unprofessional, very aggressive, and also became a little agitated when I told her that I had purchased the item and that I had been speaking with the manager who was going to allow someone to come out to do a survey of the furniture. She said they don't do that.
The next day, which was on the 12th of April, she contacted me and said that a representative could come out and survey the item for $250. I would like for someone to call me immediately about a sectional that I've only had for four weeks that is completely coming apart.
- Need better training
- Poor customer service and not reliable
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don’t purchase at the Waldorf Md store

I originally bought Furnature for value city and that was supposed to be delivered. It was not delivered when they sent me a text telling me when it would be delivered and then when it was delivered, they sent the wrong thing and I told him to come and get it and he tells me theyre gonna charge me a restocking fee and delivery charges Ive almost $500. I have returned the furniture and I will not deal with value city no more and I was a good customer at one time.
User's recommendation: If you buy some, don’t rely on the delivery service, they turned me against value city
Delivery men damaged my door frame
I have placed a claim through Value City Furniture. They emailed back Wednesday 7/23 with seven questions that I answer and emailed them back the same day.
I am still waiting for a reply.
My Property Damage Claim # 169162
Below I have attached the questions your company asked with my answers attached.
1. Describe the damage being claimed
The wood on my doorframe was severely damaged, paint ripped off, and bent and dents into the wood. There are also scrapes and black marks in multiple places. And the door itself was scraped into the wood at the bottom as well as black marks.
2.
What occurred during the delivery that may have caused it.
The two delivery men were bringing chairs into that room through that doorway and were clearly not careful.
3. Confirm the date of delivery
Tuesday, July 22 2025
4. Confirm the date of the loss
Tuesday, July 22 2025
5. Confirm when you first reported the damage, and to whom it was reported
I reported it on Tuesday, July 22 2025.
I first called the Value City customer service line and the woman directed me to report it into the store I had placed the order through originally and she said she couldnt assist me over the phone. Then on Google I came across Pissed Consumer and made a short report through there. After doing so, I drove to Value City Furniture in Gurnee where I placed my order, as I was directed to do, and spoke to I believer her name is Rose in their Customer Service and told me I would have to call it in. She did look on her computer to verify a claim was made and she confirmed it was.
She let me know I would hear back within 7-10 days.
6. Confirm who was present during the delivery, and who witnessed the damages occur at the time of the incident
The two delivery men, my husband, and I were present during the delivery as well as the 4 of us were present to witness the incident caused by the delivery men.
7.
Are you the homeowner? If not, please have them contact me or provide their contact information, as we will need to speak with them directly in order to move forward with this investigation.
Yes, my husband and I are the homeowners.

Verified Reviewer |Order
I placed an order in February, paid for it, and called in April to give them the address to my son's new apartment for college. They gave me a delivery date, and now it's being pushed back almost 2 months.
After I was promised, when I made this purchase, that our order would be stored in a warehouse waiting to be delivered in June, they pushed the delivery to July, and now the delivery is at the end of August.
My son will be in grad school with no furniture. I get the runaround every time I call; I definitely do not recommend this company.
- Are good at making promises
- Break every promise
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

Verified Reviewer |Customer service is awful.
I purchased a dining set at the Fairview Heights, Illinois, store on April 13th, 2025. I was told by salesman Dexter Williams I would be able to pick it up on May 21st, 2025, which is about six weeks from the purchase date.
They called on May 20th, 2025, and told my daughter it wouldn't be in stock until June 11th, which is almost another month. I paid cash for the dining set of $422.51. I want my money back, and not in two weeks. You all took my money; now I want it back now, so that I can go elsewhere and get a set.
I called customer service, and the person told me a manager would call back, which she didn't. I will never purchase anything else from Value City Furniture because you do not honor your customers and give them the runaround when you do not want to deal with them after you've received payment.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerHorrible customer service
Customer service didn’t want to resolve my issue. They just wanted me to accept the response they gave me on the delay of my purchase.
On the day I went back to store to receive my refund, the clerk could only say maybe the dining set would be available earlier or it still might be a delay.
Told her just to refund money and she still asked if we wanted to look around store for something else. I told her no, we would go elsewhere to buy something from another store.
Keep delaying when I can pick up order I paid for in cash. It was supposed in stock where I would be able to pick up on May 21st, 2025 which is about a month out since Ive paid for the dining set. Now theyre date is June, 11th, 2025
User's recommendation: Shop elsewhere

They did not resolve my issue. Said there was nothing wrong with table top.
All they will do is return table set. Said they’d call to set up pick up date and never have. All I wanted was a new table top.
There is no such thing as making the consumer happy with VCF. Never will step a foot in there store sgain
Have a defective table top. Very hard to get anyone to respond.
The store that shipped it doesn't answer; the store I bought it from tells me to call the store that shipped it. Finally, I got hold of them; they were sending someone out today to look at it. I have never gotten a call with the time, nor do I have any number.
Very disappointed in customer service. They have photos of defects.
- Terrible service
Preferred solution: New table top
User's recommendation: Better hope there’s not a problem with your purchase or it’s a nightmare
