I contacted customer service because a mirrored door on a bedroom chest does not close properly. It is not aligned.
Service on the door was set up for 10 days later. Time frame seemed a little outrageous.
It spans from 9-5. I hope they narrow that time down when it gets closer to the date of service.
I need my order an these mattress picked up
I placed my order on November 19, 2024 and it's still not right. I haven't received my fireplace insert they brought me to the wrong ones so I'm waiting for them to bring me the right one and my mattresses are still sitting in my house, they haven't picked up my bed because when they brought the furniture, they tore up my footboard, which I have not received the new one yet and poked *** in my mattress and I'm still waiting on the hardware for one of my nightstands because it has a built-in light and it didn't have no hardware in it.
Also, they have ripped my floor Trying to pull out the entertainment center to put the fireplace in. You can't never get them to call you back they keep telling me they can't set up a delivery date or anything because it's third-party.
All I want is my stuff to be right I would like to be compensated in somehow and I'm waiting on her refund from my box springs because I don't want it because it made the bed too high. I spent almost $9000 in that store.
User's recommendation: Don't order anything from them because it's already going on two months. I still haven't got my order plus they won't communicate with you.

Verified ReviewerDelivery damage and not accepting responsibility
I ordered $4200 worth of furniture for my new home. Value City delivered this furniture in the very first hour of receiving our keys.
We spent $250,000 on this home and had it inspected just a week prior. When we moved the furniture from the place the delivery men left it we realized they had done severe damage to our new floor. I called and a complaint was supposed to be sent to management 11 days goes by and nothing. I call back in and the complaint was never even submitted.
Then the manager reaches out and informs me that since we moved the furniture they will not be held liable for the damage. I stated in the complaint calls and original emails that we moved the furniture, if we didn't how would we had even seen the damage? Their customer service is a joke and the fact that they are not taking responsibility for their actions is unacceptable. I will NEVER spend another penny with this manipulative business.
This is absolutely unacceptable and they do not care about their customers at all. Now we have to take time off of work, and money out of our pocket to repair a floor that they damaged.
I am absolutely devastated. What was supposed to be a good, exciting buying experience of furnishings our very first home has turned into an absolute nightmare and they couldn't care less.

Verified Reviewer |Poor quality of your furniture
My son recommended you, which was a huge mistake. We bought a sectional from you.
When we finally received it, you had to come back twice because the 2 pieces did not match. When we finally got some that matched, I realized the quality of the one we received was not as good as the original we had. Almost from day one, the couch seat started breaking down. I had to put cushions underneath the couch cushion to raise it up, and the material started ripping.
It was the worst purchase we have ever made. At this time, I would not recommend you to anyone. We are too embarrassed to entertain at our house, given the horrible state of the sectional.
We even use blankets to raise it up so I can get off the couch. It is so bad I have to grab onto something to stand up.
User's recommendation: Don’t shop here. You will regret it

Verified Reviewer |Order Sofa on JUN 7 2024 and still waiting for delivery. Messed my holidays
I bought furniture from VCF Holland, OH on June 7, 2024. The manager, Kevin, was there, and he was dealing with us for delivery and all the stuff we were supposed to get, including a mattress and a sofa, in July 2024.
First, they only delivered the mattresses and kept delaying delivery for the sofa. It's now six months later, and I'm still waiting for my loveseat. They are still not giving me an exact date of delivery. It was supposed to be delivered on November 29, 2024.
Now, they have called me saying they cannot deliver the sofa on that date. The crazy part is that Manager Kevin is offering $75 off on my purchase. He knows how much stuff I have bought from there. This is a full stop for me and my family with VCF.
We aren't going there anymore.
We will pay extra in another shop, but we’ll no longer go to VCF. This is sad; they ruined my festival.
- Family use to buy furniture all the time because of service and quality
- Waiting for my sofa since jun 7
- Ruined my holidays and festival & never ever going back period
- Lie about delivery date and they dont care as well
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't trust on their given delivery date. I am waiting for my stuff for 6 months and still waiting.

Verified Reviewer |No furniture received
On July 25, 2024 my husband and I purchased a couch and love seat from your company. We shopped around to other furniture stores in the area and went back to Value City Furniture, because my husband and I still had our furniture from over ten years ago and it was still in good condition.
We were impressed with the quality and how well the furniture had held up over the years. It has been a while since we purchased new furniture so we were hoping that going with Value City furniture, we would get the same great furniture. Little did we know what a downfall your company has taken? We were aware that our furniture would be on backorder until the first week of October, and we were okay with that.
It is now November 20, 2024 and since then Value City Furniture has rescheduled our delivery time four times. My husband used two vacations days just to make sure that he was home when the furniture would be delivered, only to find out it wasn't coming. What a waste of vacation time! On 11/19/2024 we finally got our confirmation our delivery was in route.
I let out a scream when I say the truck pull in our drive way on the ring camera. We've waiting four months for this furniture. We have been sitting on lawn chairs waiting for our furniture to arrive. What a disappointment after seeing the delivery truck and finding out that the FURNITURE WASN'T ON THE TRUCK!!!
I understand that this company is a third-party company, but it still represents the service that Value City Furniture gives. No words can describe how we are feeling at this point. I called the Polaris store in Columbus, Ohio and I called the customer service number and talked to Oliva. What a disappointment in a manager.
She did absolutely nothing but say "I'm sorry". My boss would have already been on the phone to her boss trying to make something happen to correct the issue. I know companies can make things happen, if they want to. I did my own research on line at the better business bureau and was shocked that I wasn't the only one who was treated like we were.
I wish I would have done my research on your company before we purchased anything from you. It's all over the internet how awful your customer service is. With a CEO that makes over a billion dollars, you would think he would want to take better care of his customers. Our furniture is paid off and we still don't have our furniture!
Value City Furniture is stealing from my family. If I was late on a payment, you would have no problem charging me a late fee, but you can keep my hard-earned money and not give me the product I purchased. I could be buying Christmas presents now with that money, but instead you have my money and I have nothing to show for it. I hope this sits well with all the employees at Value City Furniture knowing that they can take pride in taking hard working individuals' money and leaving them with nothing, especially around the holidays.
I've seen companies make things right with customers if they truly want to. Clearly customer service is not a priority to Value City Furniture. If I don't have our furniture my December, I want my full refund with no restocking fee. I will also be posting this letter on social media to let others beware of what they are getting into when purchasing items from Value City Furniture.
I don't want another individual to receive the lack of empathy that we received from your company. Your auctions are in doing not saying "I'm sorry". I will never purchase anything from your company again! Please do not send me an apology email.
Ive heard all the Im sorry that I can take. Auctions would be more meaningful than words.
I hope you enjoy the holidays on your comfortable couches that I'm sure all of you have!

Verified Buyer |Delivery issue
I ordered furniture in the Sept time frame in the hopes of completing decode for the holidays and gatherings. I was given a delivery date of October.
The date kept being pushed back.
There were a few times when I was scheduled and the company was a no show. When I did get part of the furniture, they did not tell me they only had part of it until they set up the other furniture.
I continued to call for updates and was finally given a January delivery date for the final piece.
A suitable refund would have been closer to 500-**** since I missed 2 days of work and still didnt get all of my furniture. I had to take off a 3rd day for the final deliver.
Thank you for the reminder.
I will be copying and pasting this description to the better business bureau report today. Your organization should be ashamed.

Verified Reviewer |Lack of delivery
I was given delivery dates for my new mattress. I purchased my mattress on Dec 4 and was given a delivery date of Dec 20.
On December 18, I was given a time window for Dec 20 between 12 noon and 4 pm. At 6 pm on Thursday, December 19, I received a call from the store where I purchased my mattress, informing me that they were unable to fit my mattress on the truck. I was livid and was told, after a lot of back and forth, that they would issue me a gift card for my inconvenience. They also gave me a new delivery date of January 3, 2025.
Fast forward to January 2, I received a call from the company letting me know my mattress would be delivered on January 3 between 8 am and noon. This call was at 3:30 pm. Fast forward to 6 pm, I received another call from Value City Furniture, letting me know once again that my mattress would not be delivered on the 3rd because there was, once again, no room on the truck for my mattress. This mattress/box springs package cost me over $5000.
At 7 pm, I was at Value City Furniture cancelling my order. Never again will I buy furniture at Value City Furniture!

Verified Reviewer |Sucked.
My girlfriend bought a new mattress and it was supposed to be delivered today. She received a phone call yesterday to confirm it and she said, 'No, that's the wrong address.
That's my old house in Pennsylvania and I'm in West Virginia now.' The person she spoke to yesterday said, 'Oh, we got it taken care of. Your mattress will arrive tomorrow.' So we woke up super early to get everything ready because they said they would be here between 9 and 11 AM. At 10:45, she received a text message saying they will be here by noon. At 12:30, she called our local store and they transferred her to the warehouse manager and he says, 'Oh, they had the wrong address in it.
It'll be delivered tomorrow.' We have already gotten rid of our old mattress. We have no bed to sleep on and this is ridiculous! Why did the lady who sold us a mattress in the first place not double-check the shipping address where it was supposed to be delivered to?
It makes no sense and that we have no mattress. Good job, Value Crap Furniture!!!

Verified Reviewer |I need a lower rating for their horrible customer service
Description of complaint:
This business is simply bad. 10/5/24 - Went to the store to look at living room furniture.
Found a set I like.
Purchased and told delivery would occur 10/10/24 between the hours of 11:15am - 2:15pm. Delivery men
arrived 8:45am. I was told one piece of the furniture was damaged and they didn't pack it on the truck. I was
told someone should have called me to relayed this message.
Of course no one called. In addition, the lamp I
ordered was marred. I called the store at 10am and was told I needed to send an email with pictures and
details about the marred lamp and the missing piece of furniture to store37service@***.com. I sent the
email.
I never got a call from anyone related to the email. I went back to the store and spoke to an assistant
manager. I explained that i was missing a piece of furniture and that the lamp I purchased was marred and I
needed a replacement. The assistant manager explained they had a new computer system and they were
having some problems with it.
He told me that the pieces were in and that they were scheduled for delivery
on 10/16/24 between 1:30pm-4:30pm. Please note this would be the second time I stayed home to receive the
furniture. At 4pm I called the store to determine if the delivery was still coming as I had not received a call or
text that the delivery was delayed. I was told the delivery would not be coming.
I decided to go to the store to
understand what had happened. I arrived at the store and spoke to the manager. The manager looked in the
system and noted my items had come in. Naturally I asked why they had not been delivered.
She called the
delivery warehouse and was told the items were not in. At that point I asked them to simply come pick up the
furniture. I had to wait until the next delivery window. I had a pick-up scheduled for 10/30/24.
I called the store
10/29/24 to confirm the scheduled pickup on 10/30/24 between 3:30pm-6:30pm. I'm typing this on 10/30/24
at 6:09pm expecting no one to come. Its now 6:47pm and no one has showed up to pick up the furniture. I'm on hold with the an office in Ohio (corporate?).
Been on hold for 15 minutes and told there was nothing in the system or no truck assigned for the pickup. Still no pickup.
Corporate office couldn't reach the manager of the store. This company really is a joke.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Refund check not received
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I kept calling following up for the refund check.
I was so disappointed that I picked out the bed set, paid for it via check and received a call a few hours later that the cost would bea additional $300.00. I refused to pay the additional amount and cancelled the order.
I feel Value City should have kept the original price. Instead, they processed my check.NOT GOOD BUSINESS!
Not good. Still awaiting refund checkI purchased a bed with box spring and mattress and headboard.
I left a check for the total amount of $2290.19. I received a call from the salesman informing me that there would be an additional cost of $276.00. I informed him I was not paying any more money and told him I was canceling the order. Went to pick up my check and was told it had been deposited and would take 14 days to come from headquarters.
That was on Nov.22,2024. I am still waiting for the check. If I dont receive it, you will be hearing from my attorney.
