I bought three tousand dollars worth of furniture in April 08' from the Canton Ohio Value City Furniture Store on Dressler and Everhard. 1/2 of it was damaged.

Either a scratch or dent in the wook or a scratch in the lovely pleather covering. It is now 09/24/08 and I still have not received a flawless couch and chaise. After 5 or 6 attempts might I add. One of the many managers I spoke with and I agreed to "an attempt to fix" the damaged chaise and sofa 3 months ago and they still have not delivered after two phone calls.

I have given an ultimatum as of the last phone call to either repair the couch within one month or they get the couch back. Buyer beware! One other thing, my room mate also has VCF furniture which two pieces had to be repaired.

To fix the varnish on her dresser, the employee sprayed the dresser with black spray paint and left.

Before people begin chastising and giving title to those for buying furniture at value city, they must take into consideration that not all people can spend thousands of dollars at a high end furniture store. Perhaps you can, good for you.

The majority can not. It is not unreasonable, however, to expect proper customer service and unflawed new furniture; regardless of where you buy it.

So let's all bow to Sally and applaude her financial success!!!! Hats off to you and your furniture purchacing prowess !

Idiots everywhere are buying furniture from a place called VALUE City Furniture. What do you expect?

It's like going to get your car painted at MAACO and expecting a showroom quality paint job for $200. Idiots.


I purchases a coffee table Nov last year , the top was marble and glass... the showroom modle was bautifull, when they delivered the table to my home Ithe marble was dull and you could see were it had been repaired, after replacing it twice, both having the same problem, I was informed that they would not send another to my home even the delivery man could see the problem. I told the manager that I would be willing to take the showroom sample, they denied my request, so what I hoped to have a beautiful table in my formal room, it now sits in a room never used,
